Welcome
Welcome to the website of the Embassy of Switzerland in Albania.
I started my mandate as Ambassador in September 2026 and look forward to representing Switzerland’s interests and furthering our Swiss-Albanian bilateral relations!
Switzerland and Albania established diplomatic relations in 1970 while the Embassy was opened in 1992. Since then, our two countries have increasingly strengthened bilateral ties, and we now enjoy excellent relations.
In addition to representative and diplomatic tasks, the Embassy also runs the Swiss Cooperation Programme with Albania 2026-2028. Its goal is to support Albania’s path to EU integration by focusing on three priority areas: inclusive governance, economic development and employment, and reliable urban infrastructure services and climate change.
I invite you to use this website as a window into the many aspects of Switzerland's engagement in Albania. Here you will find information for Swiss citizens, travelers, students, businesses, and partners. You can discover how Switzerland supports democratic governance, economic development, vocational education, environmental sustainability, and cultural exchange. You will also see inspiring stories of collaboration between Swiss and Albanian institutions, communities, and individuals.
Switzerland values its long-standing friendship with Albania and the deep human ties that connect our societies. The Embassy actively promotes political, economic and cultural exchanges between the two countries.
While you are here, you are also welcome to follow us on social media: Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.
I hope this website informs you, inspires you, and encourages you to learn more about the strong and growing partnership between Switzerland and Albania.
